If you've been feeling like life is in the upside-down lately, you're not alone. There is enormous change happening all around us, and while this is truly nothing new (for there is nothing in life that is more constant than change!), we can acknowledge that we're witnessing some pretty incredible upheavals in the environment, in our society, and more -- and that's on top of what we're likely already experiencing in our own personal day-to-day lives.

It can all be a bit much.

I don't know about you, but I always turn to books when I'm feeling the need to dip into some great wisdom. Lately, one of the most helpful books that is bringing me comfort and great food for thought is by Stephen Cope (a yoga teacher, scholar, and psychotherapist from the Kripalu Center in Stockbridge, MA) called The Dharma in Difficult Times. It's Cope's take on the great spiritual text The Bhagavad Gita, and is a follow-up to his previous exploration of the Gita called The Great Work of Your Life. This most recent one, though, was written during pandemic times and could not be more appropriate for our current situations. I'm finding solace in the ideas within it of not turning away from the difficulties in front of us, but rather getting quiet, listening to the still, small voice within, and acting on the wisdom that voice holds.

Not an easy path, to be sure. But it's the one we're meant to follow.

Give it a read (or a listen)!
