Stay in the loop

I'm currently pursuing a yoga therapy certification through Inner Peace Yoga Therapy School, and I'll be fully certified in May of 2026. Until then, I teach yoga classes at various locations and will be launching student-priced 1:1 client work very soon.

Frequently Asked Questions

"Sharanam" is pronounced SHAH-rah-nahm, and it means sanctuary or refuge.
Through the practice of yoga, we can learn to find the sanctuary within.

Yoga Therapy is a way of working with people that addresses the whole individual, and acknowledges that whatever we're going through affects ALL parts of our life. It's a bio-psycho-social-spiritual therapy for whole-person wellness.

There is a growing body of scientific research that shows just how effective yoga and mindfulness practices can be for a variety of issues and conditions.

In individual sessions, I educate and empower clients in finding new ways to navigate their unique life challenges and changes -- such as grief, career moves, anxiety, new phases of life -- using simple and accessible tools from the Yoga tradition that most people don't yet know about.

Yoga classes are wonderful communities; they guide students through general movement, breathing, and relaxation.
Yoga Therapy is much more individualized, and goes deep into the philosophy and psychology that is outlined in the texts of Yoga in order to help people realize their fullest expression of self, while providing accessible and practical solutions to life's challenges.
A Yoga Therapy session may include gentle movements, guided relaxation, breathwork, and more -- all tailored to each client's specific needs.
Absolutely! Yoga Therapy is for everyone, whether or not you've ever set foot inside a yoga studio or taken a class.
Yoga Therapy practices may involve some gentle movement, but they may also include breath practices, relaxation, meditation, and other techniques from the Yoga tradition, all tailored to your specific needs. We'll work together to find the best solutions for you and your life!
Yoga Therapy can help with so many of life's challenges. The techniques I offer are especially effective for anyone who is:
  • Going through a mid-life transition

  • Wanting to learn more about the subtler practices of Yoga, such as meditation

  • Grieving a loss

  • Feeling lost or stuck in their life

  • Wanting new ways to reconnect, rest, recharge, and remember

  • Struggling with change in the world around them

Definitely! Yoga Therapy is NOT a replacement for any other therapy; instead, it works very well in conjunction with many other modalities.
